What's the current and planned approach for automated retry policies on Terraform components? Can we define retry behavior declaratively in the app config, or is manual vendor-initiated retry the permanent model?

ANSWER

We currently do not automatically retry Terraform applies. With Nuon Policies, however, we could argue that certain plans could be made retry-able, and you could configure those. This is on our roadmap.
