QUESTION

ANSWER
No requirement to split. Nuon is agnostic. You can keep a single root module as one component. Splitting is useful to make the component dependency graph visual and to speed up updates when only upstream pieces have changed — but there's no loss from keeping everything together. Action triggers (pre-deploy, post-deploy, post-fail) and troubleshooting actions all work at the component level regardless of how many components you have, so a single component gets everything.
